Curriculum Partners, Exhibitors, and Sponsors
Dear Friends and Supporters of NYSABE,
We are pleased to announce the 43rd Annual NYSABE Conference, to be held on March 19-21, 2020, at the Crowne Plaza White Plains in White Plains, New York. In preparation, we are reaching out to you, our friends and supporters, to request your financial assistance with the many activities that will take place during the conference. The theme of this year’s conference is Fostering Collaborative Leadership in Bilingual Education: Equity in Action. We had amazing attendance last year and expect to replicate this in 2020 with over a thousand participants expected across the conference. Highlighted on Saturday is a Leadership strand in which we expect to have many district administrators and superintendents in attendance.
NYSABE is a professional organization that represents educators, parents, and community leaders involved in bilingual education. Our goal is to offer high-quality professional-development activities to our members to help them provide optimal educational services to New York’s multilingual learners. In this vein, NYSABE offers an annual conference at which bilingual education professionals, parents, legislators, and community members share their experience and expertise in the field.
As in years past, we hope you can support us in our outreach to a greater audience of NYSABE members. Your support is crucial in ensuring that we offer our conference participants an educationally and culturally rich experience. Below is the list of activities in which your organization can help to support NYSABE. Please note the new sponsorship opportunities and benefits to your organization that accompany each activity.
SPECIAL NOTE: We will be hosting a “Leadership Strand” on Saturday, March 21st, during the Conference. We expect a number of building and district administrators, including Superintendents, in attendance.

Regarding proposals being submitted by for-profit vendors:
NYSABE has an expectation that all workshops will offer high-quality professional development opportunities for attendees and therefore, all proposal submissions will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Quality of title and abstract
- Clarity of purpose and objectives
- Logical and structured rationale
- Clarity of connection to the conference theme
Corporate/for-profit vendors must purchase an exhibitor table, at a minimum, or a sponsorship opportunity in order for their presentation proposal to be considered. Purchasing an exhibitor table or sponsorship opportunity is not a guarantee that your proposal will be accepted. Vendors are encouraged to partner with a school district to help ensure a high-quality presentation that is relevant to the field is being submitted. We thank you in advance for your continued support. We look forward to our collaboration and hope to see you at the conference!
Sincerely,
Alicia Barinas
